50th Anniversary Reunion and Display Day - Sunday June 25 2000

Everyone is invited to attend the 50th Anniversary of the opening of the Zetland manufacturing plant of BMC and Leyland Australia.

Activities

  • Display of BMC & Leyland vehicles built at Zetland along with period memorabilia.
  • Presentation by the Institution of Engineers Australia of the Prestigious Historic Engineering Plaque to the Zetland Plant.
  • Several showings of the 1958 film "Horses to Horsepower" which traces the development of the Zetland factory and vehicles.
  • Refreshments available from 11.30 - cash at bar prices.
  • Buffet Luncheon between 12.30 and 2.00 PM.
  • Some short speeches by people from the BMC and Leyland era.
